Well this news is about the politicians. Discretionary quota scheme, which was implement in the year 1976 states that economically weaker people can get flats at cheaper rates nearly 150 - 250 rs. per sq feet. Economically weaker people mentioned under this scheme are journalists, artists and ex-servicemens. Let me come know straight to the point. Anil galgali, one of the activist of RTI filed an application to find ou what happened to the flats allotted under this scheme. Result came was very shock. Majority of flats allotted to the ministers and their close relatives. People from different political background are also involved in this scam like Shiv-Sena MP Bhawana Gawli, MNS spokesperson Shishir Shinde, Shiv-Sena spokesperson Subhash Desai's son Subodh Desai and the two BJP spokesperson Prakash Jawadekar' son - Ashutosh and Apurva. These above people prefer to sell flats at much higher rates nearly 10,000 per sq feet, due to this they are able to get more money than they pay and this adds to large scam of several crores. Actually, these allotted flats can't be re-sale atleast first five years but those who got it in a wrong way did re-sale of flats with first two years. Currently many of the above ministers said, it is an old issue and it is an old allotment.
